Testimonials from 2022
Real riders, real experiences!
Real riders, real experiences!
- TDN is the bicycle ride Bombdiggity!
- This was the most expertly organized ride we've ever been on! The friendly, accomodating crew, fun brewerys, good food and gorgeous camping spots were second to none! We will most definitely be returning next year!
- TDN has changed my life! It is amazing to have something so wonderful to look forward to every year again. Never missing another ride if I can help it! Thank you support crew for everything you do for us!
- Happened to stumble upon the ride. Group size was good. Organization was good.
- Great ride! Great people! Great scenery!
- You guys put on an amazing tour. You are top notch.
- I enjoyed supporting my husband. He had a blast and the friendships made were helpful! He is excited to come back year after year!
- TdN turned out to be the perfect experience for someone that has not done a multi day ride. My nephews and I are already planning to be back next year!
- The route was pretty, and manageable for most riders, the support good, the towns enthusiastic, but it was the people, both townspeople and fellow riders that made for a quality experience.
- Charlie & his crew do a magnificent job of taking care of every little detail. They have thought of everything and make each rider feel attended to at all times. The crew is exceptional and doesn't miss a beat.
- The ride and people are great! I love that the days are of reasonable miles and that there is a hospitality tent each day after the ride.
- We really enjoyed meeting new friends at the end of each day. Hope to see them all next year!
- First Year Rider and had an absolute blast!! Everyone was so kind, positive and encouraging.
- This was my first TDN and I am so glad I did it. What a great bunch of people.
- This was my first tour experience and first multi day event and I couldn’t have picked a better one. TDN is so well put together and organized and the scenery is incredible. Truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience
- Our first organized group ride! The bar is set high! Well organized, great routes, great stops, great staff. Perfect riding and camping weather didn’t hurt either! Looking forward to next year.
- Took my son and it was his first time. He really enjoyed the event. People on trip were great and your crew were very helpful. Thanks is to all that made this such a great year!!
- I enjoy the camaraderie among the cyclists. It’s always fun to see familiar faces and catch up, and I love that I meet interesting people whose paths I’d never have crossed otherwise. Sharing the joys and the miseries of long rides brings people together.
- Keep doing what you do. Thank you for making me feel welcome and supported:)
- This was our first TDN. We found it to be highly enjoyable, and flexible enough for us old riders to do it our way, and very much enjoy the group ride!
- I really enjoyed this year's tour. Great experience!
- A friend talked me into doing TDN and I'm so glad she did! I met wonderful people and visited a part of Nebraska I've never seen before. Great support staff! Enjoyable route - I didn't know Nebraska is hilly.
- The beginning and ending at same town makes logistics much simpler than BRAN. Two nights at each town made breaking camp much easier too.
- TDN is a great exercise in meeting great people and great Nebraska communities.
- #1 - The ride's organization is perfect. #2 - TDN riders as so friendly!
- TDN has a great format. Convenient to get there and get home. The TDN staff works hard to make it a great experience. Riders, host towns, and staff together make it a fun experience. Not a couch sitter in the bunch. I am always in awe of the "rookie" riders who never give up!
- It's a great way to get away from real life, hang with great people and friends all while doing something healthy!
- My 14yo rode every mile including the CENTURY, which was an incredible experience and I’m sure will end up being a life long memory for him. He had an absolute blast.
- Coming from Colorado I wondered what the hills would be like. I am used to riding up mountains and shorter rides. I was very impressed with the lay of the land in Nebraska! Long hills great scenery and fun riders made this a great 5 day ride for people of all ages! I met many great people during the event and may get together with them for a ride in Colorado. The food was great wherever we went looking forward to more TDN rides! Charles did a great job of organizing the event!
- We loved the ride. Yeah for portapotties at rest stop. Great kind spirit with all who were with the ride staffing. Felt like we were safe in the hands of TDN. The stops were awesome - staffed with local persons who were fund raising home made treats along with other typical ride foods.
- TDN is a Senior summer camp! I love reuniting with previously new found friends, and always find a few more each passing year. My best memory of 2022 was acting like a teenager again, at the farewell street dance 🕺
- Great trip for all levels of rider. Well planned and fun!
- First cycling trip to Nebraska. Overall great job. Good route. Can’t say enough nice things about the UNL tent service. Went out of their way to be accommodating. First time I’ve ever used one. I’m hooked!
- This was my first ride ever and I’m ready to do it again! The rides were just right—long enough with just the right amount of challenge (provided by the wind); the TDN folks were friendly and helpful; and the overall atmosphere was chill—very inviting and inclusive. And dog friendly!
- Really like the social each day after the ride
- This was my first year. Before this I had done Bike Across Kansas (BAK). This is much better with it being a 5 day ride instead of 7 and lower mileage days. Very impressed with the SAG stops and having a mechanic on hand. Plus having porta-potties at each SAG was a major plus. Had lots of fun and enjoyed the scenery. A much more relaxing ride!
- Fan freaking tastic! It truly is a party on wheels, sags we’re fantastic, crew members were awesome, everyone is so nice and encouraging, almost zero negativity heard!
- Super friendly people everywhere! On the ride, supporting the ride, and random people along the route. The roads were fantastic, few cars, beautiful sights. There were few enough participants that I saw people repeatedly and could make new friends, which is sooo much better than a giant ride. Thank you for a fantastic first year! I’ll be back!
- It was my first experience, loved the unique small towns, beautiful landscapes. People were friendly and helpful…hills were my challenge.
- This was the first TDN for my family and I. This was a lovely way to see the state and meet excellent people. This is a wonderful way to spend vacation time, get in shape, and see Nebraska outside its well known cities.
- It's a great early season ride to help me get in shape for other summer trips.
- Tour de Nebraska is like a big, rolling, family reunion. TDN has a welcoming, fun culture and is a perfect ride for first-time, multi day tourists. I love experiencing the beauty and hospitality of rural Nebraska, and seeing different parts of the state each year. The camaraderie that results from the riders sharing the mental and physical challenge offered by TDN is unparalleled. The TDN staff goes above and beyond with their efforts to be accessible, cover all the details and make it fun for everyone!
- THANK YOU FOR PROVIDING THIS WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY! I AM GRATEFUL for TDN and look forward to it every year.
- I’ve always had a good time !

- Fabulous event- safe gorgeous routes- lots of things to do when not riding- wonderful opportunity to meet and be a part of the communities we are visiting- attention to details- loved the ride with gps event - well planned- amazing staff and volunteers and rural Nebraskans are wonderful hosts- thank them for sharing themselves and their community with us
- The 2022 TdN was a great experience. Really fun hospitality events, great cycling roads, friendly host communities, and awesome tour support staff. I'm looking forward to next year's TdN.
- This is a well organized multi day ride. The roads were all VERY good this year. I have met some very interesting people on the Tour. It's a great event for learning more about our sport, the various equipment and getting tips to become a better rider. I can't wait for next year.
- Banquet night was a blast…….even if we pooped out before the acknowledgments. Band was super. So much of success depends on weather and road conditions,, but this year special effort was made to minimize curveballs these two elements might throw at TDN riders.
- Five days is a nice length. I met a lot of people on the ride. It was a fun route.
- This is my fourth TdN. I love these rides! This one brought me back to my home area in Nebraska. (I now live in Wisconsin.) The rides are well organized and the people (staff and riders) are so friendly and helpful. That is true of the people in the host communities as well. I've met so many neat people from all over. Another rider who has done TdN far more times than I once made the comment "TdN is like a big reunion on wheels." Very true because or how many people come back do the ride again and again. I'm hoping to ride again next year. Thanks!
- It's a great way to get away from real life, hang with great people and friends all while doing something healthy!
- Tour De Nebraska has become my “Sharpen the Saw” time. It always challenges me physically and mentally. I met many new friends this year that I hope to see on next year’s ride.
- A big thanks to the mechanic Rick. He was very generous and allowed my friend to borrow his bike for the week as her bike broke on mile 13 day 1 and couldn’t be fixed.
