Where We Stay
Indoor and Outdoor Camping
Tour de Nebraska is primarily an indoor/outdoor camping tour. Many riders opt to camp outdoors near the TDN headquarters, usually based near high schools or in city parks. There's easy access to showers and all-night restrooms. "Indoor camping” is another option inside school gyms or other community facilities. Don't forget your earplugs and eye shades! Camping indoors or out is always available and free for riders. Community shuttles can help transfer your bags to either location.
Tuesday Night Before the Tour
Arriving at our start and end host community on Tuesday night before the tour starts is purely optional. Complimentary indoor and outdoor camping is always provided at a designated location, most likely at the high school or community center. There's no sign-up required to stay the night before, but do plan to arrive after 5 p.m. Find Tuesday night information in the TDN app available in late Spring.
Motel, B&Bs and Host Homes
The Nebraska communities on the TDN route are quaint, friendly and easy to get around by foot or bicycle. Many offer small motels or bed and breakfasts for riders who would rather sleep on a nice soft bed. However, in smaller communities, lodging is limited. Consider Pork Belly Ventures for your five-day lodging accommodations. A list of community lodging options where you can make your own reservations (at your own cost) will be released when the route is announced. Community shuttles can provide transportation. In the morning, stack your bags outside the lobby (of the listed motels) area for our friendly Penske driver pick-up.
Pamper Yourself with Hassle-Free Tent Service
Don't have a tent or don't want to buy one? UNL Outdoor Adventures’ Hassle-Free Tent Service (optional) allows you more time to enjoy the tour and less time dealing with the “chores” – like setting up your tent, transporting your gear and remembering to bring that much-needed coffee. Each day you arrive at your designated campsite to find your luggage carefully placed inside your tent. Relax in a camp chair and wash the day away with a fresh towel. Enjoy a cup of delicious Cultiva french-pressed coffee before going back on tour. Tent Service will begin on Tues., June 16 through Sunday morning, June 21. Space is limited. Add to your cart during registration.
