April 11, 2020
Dear TDN Cyclists & Friends,
Consistent with our mission to prioritize safety, health and wellness, we are officially postponing 2020 Tour de Nebraska until next year due to the COVID-19 concerns. The pressure to host our group was too much stress on the local hospitality and school districts. We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding with this difficult decision.
In preparing for this contingency, TDN created a Crisis Management Team made up of cyclists and stakeholders. Our goal was to uphold TDN's 32 plus year history of maintaining integrity and good will that extends beyond the cycling community and the State of Nebraska. Our roots were built on loyalty and trust in the brand; standing for helping each other, especially in unprecedented times like these.
In keeping with the annual TDN Spirit Award that inspires others to spread joy, humor and kindness, I am officially naming all of you 2020 winners! These are trying times and together we will get through this. Here's to making 2021 epic!
In that spirit, below are the results of the TDN Crisis Management Team:
I am grateful for the TDN Crisis Management Team for weighing in for the benefit of everyone. Thanks to all the past and current riders. With your loyalty, Tour de Nebraska will have continued success into the future. Please save the date for 2021: June 16-20. We are considering all route options for 2021. Stay tuned for a route announcement in the future. Let's make next year epic! Until then, stay safe and take good care.
Thank you for understanding and for your friendship.

In that spirit, below are the results of the TDN Crisis Management Team:
- All registrations, services (shower & tent) and apparel/jerseys will be 100% deferred to 2021 TDN, which includes all transaction fees. All confirmation codes will automatically apply to 2021 TDN. No action is required.
- All deferred riders will receive a 10% off merchandise voucher, good through June 19, 2021 (while supplies last).
- Registered riders have the option to request a partial refund if they are not interested in the 100% deferment. In these cases, TDN will provide a $145 refund (50%) plus a $75 off discount code for 2021. Simply e-mail your request by June 1, 2020 to: [email protected]
- The General Refund Policy was moved from April 1 to April 10 as a consideration for all of the registered riders.
