CAMPING TOUR
Tour de Nebraska is primarily a camping tour. Most of our cyclists enjoy the camaraderie of tent camping at designated TDN Headquarters (either the high school or City park). Tent camping is encouraged. A smaller group takes advantage of "indoor camping" which is available each night at the high school gym, regardless of weather. Indoor camping may be limited due to social distancing. Camping arrangements are part of your registration fee. Some people prefer motels, B&Bs or host homes, which are available at your own cost.
MOTELS
If you are staying at a motel, the best way to get there from the campground is to catch the community shuttle which generally operates noon-5 p.m. TDN luggage pick up is assigned to motels in bold. The next morning, please group your luggage together outside of the lobby or in a convenient place by 7:30 a.m. so the Penske truck can pick it up in the morning. If you are not at a motel in bold, please notify Rick Dockhorn or Charlie Schilling which property you need luggage pickup.
B&B, HOST HOMES OR WITH FRIENDS IN HOST COMMUNITIES, OUT OF TOWN MOTELS
If you are staying with friends, at a host home, a bed and breakfast or anywhere else in host town not on this list, you may also catch the community shuttle. You'll need to make arrangements to transport your luggage back to TDN Headquarters (where the Penske is parked, usually the high school) by 7:30 a.m. Ask your host if they are willing to help you, usually they are! If you need help with luggage transport in the morning, check with Rick Dockhorn, our TDN Wagon Master/Penske driver, to make pickup arrangements.
HOST HOMES
If you are interested in a host home, simply e-mail: schilling.charles@gmail.com and let Charlie know your room needs. He can then communicate with local official to try and get a local match. Host homes may charge a fee or there can be a free will donation made.

If you cannot secure motel, host homes or B&B accommodations, you can tent camp, indoor camp or try these options:
Pamper Yourself with Hassle-Free Tent Service
UNL Outdoor Adventures’ Hassle-Free Tent Service allows you more time to enjoy the tour and less time dealing with the “chores” – like setting up your tent, transporting your gear and remembering to bring that much-needed coffee. Each day you arrive at your designated campsite to find your luggage carefully placed inside your tent. Relax in a camp chair and wash the day away with a fresh towel. Enjoy a cup of delicious Cultiva french-pressed coffee before going back on tour.
Tent Service will begin on the afternoon of June 20 and continue until the end of the tour the morning of June 25! To find out more, please visit: No Hassle Tent Service
